Vermont Expedition Society Membership Policy The Vermont Expedition Society (VTXS) takes its membership very seriously. In fact, it’s one of the only things we take seriously. We’ve seen, first hand, what happens with other off-road clubs where a few of the members do the work for the many who, in turn, contribute little and join mainly to put a sticker on their truck and lurk on an email list to find out where to wheel. Not so with VTXS. All of our members are expected to be active, participating and involved members, both on our online forum and at our events. This is not something to be taken lightly as it often requires making VTXS a real priority in one’s life. Our membership rules are designed specifically to see if prospective members will have the natural inclination to make VTXS a fairly substantial part of their lives. Your profession and/or the type of 4x4 you drive or its level of modification are the least important factors with VTXS membership. What is important is your good attitude and a genuine passion for 4x4 travel and recreation, so much so that you are willing to devote the time, energy, money, weekends, personal time, family time, etc. it takes to be an active Society member.
VTXS membership rules are simple: So, if you’re interested in membership, please contact a VTXS member to attend one of our events as his or her guest. If you don’t know any of our members, email the club President at president@vtxs.org. See you on the trail!
